Ahh -- gotcha. My last bout with Hulk was waaaay back in issue 125 of Silver Surfer. The angle was (for each character) that Hulk was thoughtlessly destroying Earth because he was "losing Banner" and was unsure if he could ever turn back, and Surfer had lost all human emotion (which was actually kinda silly). I had been shying away from the Surfer comics at that point because Ron Lim had quit drawing them, and they could never quite solidify the art direction after his departure.

Thanks Justin, I'm really excited to get some of these trades and read the complete storylines. I had a glimpse of this when I read one of the prequel trade paperbacks for the Civil War storyline. All of the cover art for the Planet Hulk books are amazing as well, they remind me of that guy Ladron(n?), but I think it's someone else. All of these animated films coming from Marvel and DC these days are so much fun, I can't wait to see what's next.

Travis - Bruce Banner was not killed off at this point in the comics, he was around and he's still around today.

Ryan - Never doubt Beta Ray Bill and Planet Hulk is The Hulk's struggle, not Banner's and thats what makes Planet Hulk interesting. Its the journey of a monster to a hero and this planet actually rewards The Hulk's talents, something that was never done on Earth. The events of this film then led to the World War Hulk storyline in the comics where The Hulk came back to Earth mad as hell! :D
