I was absolutely mortified to hear that my city of Montreal was so unwelcoming to Travis! I wanted to come down to the Divan Orange to catch up but life events impeded. I wish I had come more than ever now.

Not to excuse the behavior of anyone who showed you disrespect, but I must tell you not to take it personally. The time you visited happened to coincide with the NHL playoffs. Ice hockey is the official religion of Montreal. At that time our beloved team was facing adversaries from south of the border hance the possible reason for the hostility.

I apologize on behalf of les imbéciles who offended you. Quebec is actually not completely devoid of admiration for you. When next you come to town I'll buy you a poutine.
