Ryan’s SXSW Tweet Journal Day 5

I don’t remember wanting to fly thousands of miles to recreate the Portland weather in Austin. Had to run in the rain to catch my bus.

The rain definitely did not help me get out of bed this morning. But I have Interactive access today, and panels to see!
8:20 AM Mar 16th via TweetDeck

@msaleem it is! I didn’t want to go carrying my laptop in the rain today.

9:06 AM Mar 16th via foursquare from South River City

Just got to the press room, for recharging. The Hulu and Hollywood panel at the Radisson was fantastic, but….
10:31 AM Mar 16th via TweetDeck

The Future of the Digital Living Room panel was cancelled! So now at least I can recharge the batteries, get some coffee, and get posts up.
10:32 AM Mar 16th via TweetDeck

I did score an SXXpress pass for The People vs. George Lucas at the Paramount today at 3:30. I don’t know which other films I’ll be seeing.
10:32 AM Mar 16th via TweetDeck

Off to the Paramount to see The People vs George Lucas! Then it’s back to the press lounge.
12:56 PM Mar 16th via TweetDeck

Just realized I left my debit card at the house this morning. Apparently my brain is required to forget one essential item each day I’m here
1:06 PM Mar 16th via TweetDeck

Due to no seats being reserved, I finally have a really good seat in the Paramount.
1:27 PM Mar 16th via TweetDeck

The People vs George Lucas is the Star Wars documentary that I’ve been waiting for! I absolutely freaking loved it! I want to see it again.
3:25 PM Mar 16th via TweetDeck

@vegvixxxen what time is it at?
3:40 PM Mar 16th via TweetDeck in reply to vegvixxxen

@fistfulofmedia it’s critical, but from a place of love, and ultimately hopeful.
3:43 PM Mar 16th via TweetDeck in reply to fistfulofmedia

The Ifc house is freaking packed! Free drinks’ll do that. #SXSW

4:20 PM Mar 16th via TweetDeck

Is anyone in Austin, at SXSW, watching Lost tonight? We need a place to see it.
4:44 PM Mar 16th via TweetDeck

I think my last movie of the day is going to be Les Signes Vitaux, at the Alamo Ritz, then it’s going to be an early night in. #SXSW
5:10 PM Mar 16th via TweetDeck

@RebFef thank you so much, for helping organize one of the best celebrations of filmmaking in existence. #SXSW

Is anyone else going to the Passion of Joan of Arc Screening tomorrow at the Alamo Ritz? It’ll probably be my last #SXSW event, let’s meetup
5:22 PM Mar 16th via TweetDeck

After watching Centurion last night, I really, really want to see Sorceress, those in attendance know why.
5:31 PM Mar 16th via Tweetie

Two of the coolest dudes I met tonight at the IFC house, whom you should follow: @chasewhale and @Wilymon. Seriously awesome guys.
5:35 PM Mar 16th via Tweetie

@stephsmith he is definitely shirtless. And a badass as always.

RT @screenrant: Amen! RT @elmayimbe: The Captain America casting process is hands down the most annoying in the history of Superhero movies.
5:39 PM Mar 16th via TweetDeck

@ColeAbaius dude, what are you doing tomorrow, let’s grab a beer before I leave town.
5:46 PM Mar 16th via TweetDeck

@stephsmith him and Dominic West seriously bulked up to Ferrigno proportions for this movie. Slightly exaggerating.
5:49 PM Mar 16th via TweetDeck in reply to stephsmith

My #FollowFriday this week is going to be chocked full of all the amazing, intelligent, hilarious folks I’ve met here in Austin for #SXSW.
5:55 PM Mar 16th via TweetDeck

@scottEweinberg when do you head back home? I’m flying out tomorrow night. Joan of Arc is the only screening I hav planned tomorrow.
7:55 PM Mar 16th via Tweetie in reply to scottEweinberg

Outside the Paramount, about to hop on my earliest bus ride home. To pack up, post some articles, & prepare myself for my last day at #SXSW.
8:05 PM Mar 16th via Tweetie

Congratulations to Tiny Furniture! One of my favorite films this week! #SXSW Awards!
8:23 PM Mar 16th via TweetDeck

@scottEweinberg if you find a resource (PDF?) let me know, I’m interested, for the review.

@willschiff what are you seeing tomorrow? All I have planned so far is Passion of Joan of Arc.
9:46 PM Mar 16th via TweetDeck in reply to willschiff

Oh man, my Google Reader is out of control. I spend a week watching movies and panels, and my news reading just falls apart.
11:13 PM Mar 16th via TweetDeck

Connecting Criterion films to the SXSW stuff I saw is a lot easier than one would imagine. I feel like every film I saw referenced something
