David Fincher’s House Of Cards Heading To Netflix, In Its Entirety, On February 1

We all may not know when the director’s next feature film (be it his Girl With The Dragon Tattoo sequel or his adaptation of 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea) will hit theaters, we do finally have a release date set not for one episode, but the entire first season of director David Fincher’s upcoming Netflix-airing television series House Of Cards.

The NY Times have revealed that the show, starring Kevin Spacey, will be hitting Netflix, in all of its 13-episode glory on February 1. The series is written by Beau Willimon, and while Fincher didn’t direct the entirety of the series, people ranging from James Foley to Joel Schumacher have taken cracks at episodes, making this quite an intriguing bit of television.

The project follows the story of a government official as he hunts for power, sounding right up the team of Willimon and Fincher’s alley. It’s a project that’s been in the works for a while now, and with its February 1 debut coming shortly, we’ll be hearing, and hopefully seeing, more from this project soon.
