First Clip From Guy Maddin’s Keyhole Is Both NSFW And Absolutely Beautiful

Hide your kids, hide your wife, because Guy Maddin is back, and this time, with a quite NSFW look at his next picture, Keyhole.

Starring Isabella Rosselllin, Jason Patric and Udo Kier, the film follows the story of a father who returns to his home after a while away only to find that his significant other is lost somewhere within the house.   Quiet Earth has the first video from the film, and while it’s quite NSFW, it’s also oddly beautiful in only the way Maddin’s pieces can be.

As a huge fan of the Canadian filmmaker, I actually really dig this clip, despite its, odd, display.   The film will hit in the spring with no release date yet set in stone, but hopes are definitely high.   This cast is absolutely impeccable, and it goes without saying that Maddin is a filmmaker unlike any we have today.   It looks to be a luscious bit of filmmaking from one of cinema’s truest auteurs.   Enjoy!
