First Teaser For Thor: The Dark World Arrives Online

thor2framed

With Marvel’s “Phase Two” about to launch with this May’s release of Iron Man 3, the company has stepped out with the first bit of footage from their second effort in the post-Avengers universe, Thor: The Dark World. And it’s pretty damn fantastic.

Billed as a teaser trailer, the film does show off quite a bit of footage from the picture, even though its November 8 release date is rather far off (the trailer says an October release, but it’s a UK trailer, sadly) and I’m quite impressed.

Taking a decidedly different route than most Marvel films, the picture appears to follow Thor as he attempts to save his love, Jane Foster, while (as hinted at in the final seconds of this teaser) teaming up with his step brother Loki to do so. I find myself loving the tone of this teaser, and Christopher Eccleston looks absolutely fantastic here as the big baddie, Malekith. Overall, I have high hopes, especially with Game Of Thrones helmer Alan Taylor behind the camera.
