Gorgeous Trailer Arrives For Terrence Malick’s To The Wonder

terencemalickframed

Talk about a fast turnaround.

With his last film, Tree Of Life, still very much on the minds of cinephiles around the world, director Terrence Malick is set to bow his second film in three years, the intriguingly titled To The Wonder, and while some have seen it at Venice and Toronto earlier this year, it’s about damn time the general public gets to lay their eyes upon this sucker.

The film hits theaters on April 12th, and based on this brand new UK trailer, it looks like yet another visually inspired bit of art from the master of the visual poem. Described as being nearly dialogue-free, the film stars Ben Affleck, Olga Kurylenko and Rachel McAdams (as well as Javier Bardem) and follows the story of the three as they get involved in a love triangle.

Visually stunning, this trailer looks like a direct follow-up to Malick’s last work, and I can’t wait to see this thing. Getting mixed-to-negative reviews out of its festival run, it remains to be seen if this will live up to just how brilliant this trailer is, but my hopes couldn’t be higher.
