Guillermo Del Toro Attached To Yet Another Project But This Time To A DC Comics Film For WB

If there is one director who has his name tossed around Hollywood more than anyone, it’s definitely director Guillermo del Toro. Be it projects like Frankenstein or something like The Hobbit, del Toro is as sought after a director as anyone out there. But this time, he may have found a project that sticks.

After seeing test screenings score beyond their wildest dreams, WB has decided to re-team with their Pacific Rim director, this time offering him one of their upcoming DC projects. Entitled Heaven Sent, the film sounds like a cinematic riff on their Justice League Dark line, finding their mystical characters teaming up. Including Deadman, The Spectre, Swamp Thing, Constantine, Phantom Stranger, Zatanna, Zatara and Sargon, the film is allegedly ‘a ways away’ (what del Toro project doesn’t come with that caveat) but it’s apparently on its way.

Personally, while I’m beyond relieved that he of all people is being offered this type of project, I can’t help but be skeptical. He is attached to so many projects that he will have to make some very tough choices on projects coming here soon. He’s just the director to take on this type of project (the idea of him doing a Swamp Thing film is thrilling) so hopefully this one will make the final cut.
