Irrfan Khan, More, Join Ang Lee’s Life Of Pi Adaptation

With casting coming relatively fast for Ang Lee’s upcoming take on the beloved novel, The Life Of Pi, it appears three more actors have joined the film’s cast.

According to Variety, seemingly popular actor Irrfan Khan (who finds himself as one of the two villains in the now shooting Spider-Man reboot for Sony) has joined the film, along with Gerard Depardieu and Adil Hussain.   Tabu is still in talks to play the titular character’s mother, with Suraj Sharma set to take on the role of Pi.

The film, based on a novel by Yann Martel, has been penned by David Magee, and will find the adult Pi being played by Khan, with Depardieu tapped to play a chef.   Hussain’s role has yet to be disclosed.

Personally, this cast is really starting to shape up into something relatively interesting.   The big addition here is Khan, an actor I really can’t get enough of.   Lee directing the project is only some icing on a really compelling little cake he’s crafting here.
