Legendary Pictures And Warner Partnership Appears To Be Ending

legendaryframed

If there is one thing that’s sad to see, it’s a fantastic partnership hit the skids.

With WB and Legendary Pictures being behind some of today’s most interesting projects, ranging from Nolan’s Batman films to Guillermo Del Toro’s upcoming Pacific Rim, the pair appear to be ending their partnership.

Variety is reporting that Legendary is looking to leave WB when the pair’s current deal expires, unless things can come to a peaceful conclusion which insiders find as an “unlikely” outcome at this stage in the game. However, the duo are still scheduled to release the likes of Man of Steel and even the much talked about Godzilla reboot which won’t arrive until 2014. None of these films are in jeopardy, but it will be interesting to see if the two can ultimately come to terms, or if Legendary will jump ship. And where will they head? Everyone and their mother are interested in picking up the scraps, including the likes of Sony and Fox, so the team will have a home, but it remains to be seen as to where it will land.

We’ll have more as it pops up surrounding this story.
