Lynne Ramsay And Natalie Portman To Join For Western Jane Got A Gun

A Western starring Natalie Portman from director Lynne Ramsay? Need I say any more?

That’s exactly what we will be getting, according to THR. The outlet reports that the pair are set to teem on a new film entitled Jane Got A Gun, which would find Portman as a woman who attempts to talk her past main squeeze into helping save her and her new husband from his jilted former band of outlaws.

Written by Brian Duffield, the film appears to be quite a change of pace for Ramsay, best known for films like the brilliant Ratcatcher and last year’s stunner We Need To Talk About Kevin. I’m quite a big fan of both the director and actress, and the idea of the duo taking on a film in the Western genre is really quite intriguing. It’s a genre that doesn’t enough love from modern audiences, and this could be just the type of film to really change that. Here’s to hoping.
