Martin Scorsese To Helm Bill Clinton Documentary For HBO

deniroscorseseframed

He may be best known for his fiction feature work, but director Martin Scorsese is one hell of a documentary filmmaker, and he’s apparently going to be heading back to the world of non-fiction filmmaking for one of his most intriguing documentaries yet.

The auteur is teaming with HBO to direct a documentary on former president Bill Clinton, and his time as president and his work since leaving office. As far as content, we obviously don’t quite know the structure of the documentary, but the film will allegedly feature intimate conversations with the former leader of the free world, and with HBO behind the project, this is definitely one of the more thrilling bits of documentary news in recent memory.

In other Scorsese news, the director recently sat down with Jon Favreau for his IFC show, ‘Dinner For Five,’ and in the 30 minute chat, the director talks about everything from his influences, to his work today. It’s really a great little chat, and you can check it out below!
