New Russian Trailer For Wong Kar-Wai’s The Grandmasters Hits Despite The Film Still Not Having A Debut Set

I hate to say it, but we may have yet another Tree Of Life on our hands.   This time, with a smaller scope and a ton more action.

With no true pending release date, a new trailer for the upcoming Wong Kar-Wai film, The Grandmasters, has hit, and its one hell of a beauty.

Basically the same teaser we’ve already seen just with a few brief new shots tossed in for good measure, this film is easily one of the most interesting films coming down the pipeline, despite us not really knowing when the hell we’ll be able to check the sucker out.

A Cannes premiere has always seemed likely (but we’re going on two festivals now where the film has been rumored to debut) so things don’t seem set in stone yet.   Personally, this damn thing can’t get here fast enough.   The cast is absolutely impeccable, and Kar-Wai appears to be working on a truly high level both with his filmmaking, and the way he shoots his action.   Just an absolute wonder.

What do you think?
