New Trailer Debuts For Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring

With a debut set for this year’s Cannes Film Festival, a new trailer has debuted for Sofia Coppola’s new picture, The Bling Ring, and if there is one film that this writer is interested in laying his eyes on this year, it has to be this.

Emma Watson stars here as the leader of a group of teens who take it upon themselves to get while the getting is good, and rob various celebrities in California. With millions in stolen goods at their finger tips, these kids made a splash, got caught and ended up being the source of what appears to be one of 2013’s most intriguing pictures.

The cast here is small save for Watson, but the trailer is a raucous one, and it also hints at yet another muted-but-gorgeous tale from director Coppola. She’s one of today’s truly great filmmakers, with every film in her canon being great, if not an absolute triumph, so hopefully this follows suit. We’ll know on June 14^th.
