New Trailer For Abbas Kiarostami’s Like Someone In Love Arrives

A new film from Abbas Kiarostami? 2012 just became one hell of a year.

We’ve know that his new film, LIKE SOMEONE IN LOVE, has been on the way for a while now, but now we finally have something to look at with regards to the project, as The Film Stage has the first trailer for the film, and it looks absolutely fantastic.

The film wrapped last November, and the trailer hints at a really emotional narrative that is equal parts broad in message and intimate in story, following the story of woman who tries to make money for school through prostitution only to have a brilliant older man as one of her clients.

Personally, the film looks brilliant.   Looking slightly more cinematic than much of his work, LIKE SOMEONE IN LOVE appears to be yet another step forward for the Iranian auteur, a director who may very well be the best living film director.   Look for this one as a likely Cannes entry later this year.

What do you think?
