New Trailer For Life Of Pi Arrives

While those lucky enough to see the first footage from Ang Lee’s upcoming long-awaited adapation of the beloved novel The Life Of Pi through outlets like Cinemacon, where some footage debuted, or via various IMAX screenings where a tiny collection of scenes were shown, the general public now has its first real look at this hotly talked about project.

The first full length trailer has hit for the film, and it looks gorgeous. The film stars Irffan Khan, Gerard Depardieu and Tabu, and while it may be a minute before its November 21 release date hits, it can’t get here fast enough. Lee looks to be on the top of his game with this film, and while his latest pieces have been rather underwhelming (primarily Taking Woodstock), this looks unlike anything he’s ever made.

Overall, while 2012 is an absolutely stacked year of film, Lee’s Pi is proving to be one of the biggest and most intriguing question marks. Expectations are oddly all over the place, and frankly, that could be great for the film. It has the pedigree to be something of an instant classic, so we are definitely hoping for the best.
