New Videos Give Us A Look Behind The Scenes Of Malick’s To The Wonder

With the film set to bow in theaters later this year, Optimum Releasing has given us a rather engaging look behind the scenes of Terrence Malick’s brand new film, To The Wonder.

The series looks at the upcoming film, which finds the auteur behind the camera and the likes of Ben Affleck, Olga Kurylenko, Javier Bardem and Rachel McAdams in front of it. Nearly dialogue free (allegedly), the film has been discussed as Malick’s most esoteric and dense, seeing reviews out of festivals like TIFF be rather mixed.

It tells the story of a couple who go back home only to have separate relationships blossom, and it has been described as a “soul searcher” from the greatest poet modern cinema knows. The film hits on April 12 in limited release, and while the 55% on Rotten Tomatoes has me paused, Malick has never been a filmmaker to make across the board crowd pleasers. This is easily my most anticipated film of 2013.
