Scenes From Ang Lee’s Life Of Pi Screening In Front Of Prometheus, More, In 3D

While this writer may have a tough time supporting 3D releases of films, I may have to change my tune when it comes to the pending 3D releases of Prometheus, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Ice Age: Continental Drift.

THR is reporting that a collection of uncut sequences from the upcoming Ang Lee film, The Life Of Pi, in 3D. The film saw some of its scenes debut at CinemaCon earlier this year, to much applause and hype, and now, it’s coming to the masses.

This will apparently be replacing a normal teaser trailer, or at least be a predecessor to one, and it is proof that Fox may have sat on this for a few years, but is hoping that this sucker breaks the bank. The novel it’s based on is one of the more popular around, so it’s not a shock that that would be the studio’s plan, but it is good to know that they are fully behind this sucker. Hopefully it can live up to the massive hype.
