Steve James Talks The Interrupters In This Sundance Video

While The Interrupters didn’t take home any awards tonight, it is still one of the films I am most interested in checking out once it makes its way to Portland. Earlier today the folks at Sundance uploaded a brief interview with director Steve James (of Hoop Dreams), in which he talks about some of the issues dealt with in the film, and what the name of the film means.

I’m not quite sure if the film has any distribution deals lined up yet, but it seems like something that HBO should be interested in, given their documentary acquisitions this year.

Check out the trailer and description of the film here.
