Teaser Arrives For Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity

Gravity Header Framed

There are long-anticipated films, and then there is director Alfonso Cuaron’s follow-up to his brilliant Children Of Men.

Entitled Gravity, the long-anticipated picture is now officially on its way to theaters worldwide, and to prove it, we’ve finally gotten our first teaser trailer for the film, and it’s possibly the best trailer of 2013.

Starring the pair of Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, the film follows the story of a group of astronauts who become stranded in pace. Most of the details surrounding this picture have been kept under strict lock and key, but if this trailer is any sign, we are in for something truly special. Cuaron is one of today’s greatest filmmakers, and this picture looks to be as challenging a spectacle as we’ve seen to date. Featuring a reportedly high number of long, continuous takes, the film sounds right up Cuaron’s alley, and if this teaser is any hint at all, it’s going to be one of this year’s most tense and thrilling films.

Here’s the synopsis:

Dr. Stone (Bullock) is a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (Clooney). But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone—tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they’ve lost any link to Earth… and any chance for rescue.
