The Barnes & Noble 50% Off Criterion Collection Sale Has Returned!

In case you haven’t been following our incessant tweeting over the past few hours, or you’re just waking up to the good news: The Barnes and Noble semi-annual Criterion Collection sale has begun. Right now you can get all sorts of tasty DVDs and Blu-rays at 50% off.

As usual, the titles that are going to be released after the sale is over aren’t eligible for the discount. Sometimes there are mistakes in our favor in this area, but it doesn’t seem to be the case this time.

Now is a great time to invest in all of the wonderful titles that Criterion has been releasing this year. If you need some suggestions as to recent  titles  that we recommend, check out our recent episode in which we review the past 6 months of Criterion releases.

If you’re reading this on Monday night, and have an itchy trigger finger, you’ll be happy to know that the “Buy 2 Get 1 Free” discount still applies to the Criterion discs, and you can combine it with the 50% off sale as well. Hopefully these sales will be honored. I think they pretty much always have been when this has happened in the past.

With Comic Con happening this week, I probably shouldn’t be buying anything, but how can I pass up these deals?!

Full disclosure: The link above is an affiliate link, which means that our site will see a small portion (a very small portion) of the sales that we direct to Barnes & Noble. So, you’re helping us out when you buy through our link. Thanks!
