‘To Kill A Mockingbird’ Restoration To Theatrically Debut During TCM’s ‘Road To Hollywood’ Series

Sure, the film may have just hit Blu-ray, but what better way to see the iconic film, ‘˜To Kill A Mockingbird,’ than on the big screen?

On March 1, TCM will launch its third run in its annual ‘˜Road To Hollywood’ series, with the premiere of the 50th Anniversary restoration of the film, with an introduction by Robert Osborne and Spike Lee.   The 10 city tour will lead up to the 2012 TCM Classic Film Festival starting on April 12, and will see screenings of films ranging from ‘˜On The Waterfront’ to ‘˜Marnie.’

Universal will also be holding a panel at SXSW this year, discussing the process of restoring their classics in honor of their 100th Anniversary, which we will definitely be covering come that time.   Personally, I love that these films are getting shown around the country, and really wish that more outlets for these types of series would pop up.   If you have the chance to attend any of these showings, which a complete list is included below, please let us know.   We’ll also have a full write-up of the Universal SXSW panel come March.
