Tom Hiddleston Joins Jim Jarmusch’s ‘Only Lovers Left Alive’

Ever since his last film, the brilliant and underrated ‘˜Limits Of Control,’ the film world has been anxiously awaiting just what director Jim Jarmusch will have in store for us for his next film.

A vampire love story entitled ‘˜Only Lovers Left Alive,’ the film is set to star Tilda Swinton, John Hurt and Mia Wasikowska, and according to THR, things just got even more interesting.   The outlet reveals that Tom Hiddleston has joined the cast, replacing long-connected Michael Fassbender, who one must assume couldn’t fit the project into his ever growing schedule.

The film shoots in Germany this year, with a 2013 release likely, and personally, this is one of the most intriguing projects coming down the pipeline.   The idea of a director as stylish and artistic as Jarmusch taking on a new vampire film is really exciting.   If it’s half as meditative as something like ‘˜Limits,’ then we are really in for something special.   Something both special, and unlike anything we’ve ever seen.
