Trailer For Zack Snyder’s Man Of Steel Is An Absolute Doozy

We here at The CriterionCast love ourselves some art house dramas. We love ourselves foreign films. Hell, as I write this post I’m partaking in a viewing of the hardly ever talked about Otto Preminger picture, Angel Face. However, sometimes, a trailer and a filmmaker come around, and just punch you in the mouth with such beauty that you can’t help but want to talk about it.

That director is Zack Snyder, and the trailer is the newly released full length spot for his upcoming Chris-Nolan produced comic book action film, Man Of Steel.

The first true trailer has hit, and it’s one of the prettiest and most intriguing spots that we’ve seen hit for some time. Held deep within it a sense of drama and gravitas, the film appears to be just the right mixture of grand scope and heavy mood, without having any of the normal Snyder trappings. Easily the least Snyder he’s ever been, you feel as though he not only gets this character, but has a deep sense of respect and admiration for him.

All in all, it’s a beautiful trailer for a film that just became one of 2013’s most anticipated. Talk about being gob smacked by a two minute bit of video.
