Watch Hour Long Discussion With Director David Gordon Green

davidgordongreenframed

This is apparently the month for massive hour long talks with some truly influential voices in the film world. Be it a discussion with the likes of David Denby and A.O. Scott or a 90 minute chat with director David Cronenberg, this is shaping up to be a really great time for fans of film, filmmakers and intellectually stimulating discussions about the art form.

New on that list is a 55-minute chat with director David Gordon Green, and it’s quite a chat.

Taken from a panel at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, the director chatted with Chris Hardwick about his work as part of Tribeca’s Future Of Film Series, and while you may not be entirely sold on Green’s recent work, this is a rather interesting chat.

Personally, I’ve always been a rather big fan of Green and despite his recent work being a bit of a mixed bag, a film like Prince Avalanche is a definite step up for the filmmaker. This talk is a really interesting look back at his career and where he sees himself going, and hopefully that includes films like Snow Angels and not Pineapple Express.
