WB Announces A Trio Of Massive Box Sets In Honor Of Their 90th Anniversary

And you thought your wallets were safe after box sets like the Universal Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection or the various Criterion boxes. WB has just come in and changed all of that.

The studio has announced that, in honor of their 90th year of existence (2013, Warner Brothers Pictures has existed since 1923 with Warner Brothers Studios being founded some five years earlier), not only will they be up converting and releasing their iconic Wizard Of Oz in 3D, but they have not one, not two, but three monstrous sets that will be breaking all of our banks at the start of the new year.

Entitled the ‘Best Of Warner Brothers’¦,’ the trio of box sets will be featuring either 20, 50 or yes, 100 films. The 100 film set will include films ranging from their 1929 film The Broadway Melody all the way to 2010’s Inception. Included as well are two documentaries exclusive to the set entitled ‘Tales From The Warner Bros. Lot’ and ‘Warner Bros. Lot Tour.’ Now, it’ll run you a pretty penny, with the prices clocking in at $98.92 (20 Film sets, with five different boxes being released over the year) and 597.92 for the 50 and 100 film sets.
