Willem Dafoe In As Nicole Kidman Leaves Lars Von Trier’s The Nymphomaniac

I love it when a rumor comes to fruition.

Rumored almost since the film was first announced, THR is reporting that yes, Willem Dafoe and Jean-Marc Barr will be starring in the upcoming Lars von Trier film, The Nymphomaniac, with one catch. Apparently Nicole Kidman, who was involved with the film as to star in a rather tiny role, has dropped out of the project due to issues with scheduling as she is also shooting the film Grace Of Monaco. However, all of this shouldn’t really come as a shock, as the actress Uma Thurman recently joined the cast, so one would have to assume that she’ll be the one filling in the gap.

The film follows a woman who discusses her sex life to a man after being assaulted one night. Stellan Skarsgard is the male lead here, along with the likes of Jamie Bell and Shia LaBeouf. The picture is oddly star-studded, given its softcore leanings, making this one of the most interesting features set for next year.
