Trailer Arrives For Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln

If there is a film more anticipated this year among the fall film slate than one Steven Spielberg’s latest epic, Lincoln, I just don’t know what it is.

He first full length trailer for the film has arrived, via a problematic and awkward Google Hangout, and it looks every bit as good as one would have ever hoped.

The film stars Daniel Day-Lewis as the man himself, and follows apparently a four month period of time in which Lincoln must not only deal with finding a way to end a war, but also end slavery. Lincoln is based on the Doris Kearns Goodwin book, Team Of Rivals: The Political Genius Of Abraham Lincoln, and is penned by Tony Kushner. While it’s been in the works for years now, this film looks cartoonishly polished and well crafted, not shocking when one remembers he or she is dealing with Spielberg. Toss in a great John Williams score and you have a tone poem in the guise of a trailer. It really is something to behold. So check it out below.
