Jean-Luc Godard Working On A New Film; Shooting In 3D

So, those rumors of Film Socialisme being his last film can go out of the window, as Jean-Luc Godard is not only heading back to the theaters, but in one hell of a big way.

The latest auteur to give a shot at making a film in 3D, JLG is set to shoot his new film, Goodbye To Language, in the format. The film will star Heloise Godet, Zoe Brudeau, Kamel Abdelli, Richard Chevalier and Jessica Erickson and while no logline is available, Godard has said that he likes ‘when new techniques are introduced. Because it doesn’t have any rules yet.’

Personally, while most found Socialisme to be incomprehensible, I found the film to be affecting and aggressively provocative, in the most energizing of ways. I’m admittedly an admirer of Godard, with his films taking up many slots on my greatest films list, so the idea of seeing this brilliant auteur taking on a format he believes has no rules yet is so enthralling.

Head over to the Wild Bunch home page for the film’s sales poster.
