A couple months back, when Guillermo Del Toro stopped off in Portland while promoting his new installment in the Strain Trilogy, I had the opportunity to speak with him on a number of topics.
One of the most exciting, and anticipated projects that Guillermo is working on right now is a long awaited adaptation of HP Lovecraft’s At The Mountains Of Madness.
Check out the video below for my interview with Guillermo on the subject. Be warned that we dance around some spoilers, as well as a big character that was rumored to be included, but is no longer a part of the script.
Also, keep in mind that I am an enthusiast in these matters, and am not a professional interviewer. Also, I apologize for the audio conditions of the bar that we were recording.
Check out my other interview videos with Guillermo here.
What do you think about an adaptation of At The Mountains Of Madness? Can Lovecraft be made accessible for mass audiences? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below.
