Trailer For Wes Anderson’s ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ Arrives

Say what you will about the auteur (and yes, he is an auteur) and his recent output, namely the underwhelming ‘˜The Darjeeling Limited’ and the underrated by maligned ‘˜The Life Aquatic,’ but director Wes Anderson appears to be back, and with one hell of a new film.

We finally have our first official look at the director’s new film, ‘˜Moonrise Kingdom,’ and the first trailer is absolutely killer.

The film stars a great cast, including Bruce Willis (who steals his little moment here), Edward Norton, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman and Harvey Keitel, and features a screenplay penned by Anderson and Roman Coppola.   The story follows a boy and girl who run away from home, and throw their home town into disarray in doing so. ‘˜Kingdom’ looks to be very much in Anderson’s wheelhouse, and features a sense of style that seems to be Anderson’s aesthetic, just on really colorful and perfectly framed steroids.   I cannot hold in my excitement for this sucker.

What do you think?
