Andrea Arnold’s ‘Wuthering Heights’ Heading To Sundance

As awards season forces us to look back, it’s time for Sundance to give us a glimpse into the year yet to come.

The festival has announced some of their lineup, and the most interesting addition is easily Andrea Arnold’s ‘˜Fish Tank’ follow-up, ‘˜Wuthering Heights.’   The film has found a bunch of great buzz after its premiere at TIFF and Venice earlier this year, and is far and away one of 2012’s most interesting films.

Joining it will be TIFF darling ‘˜The Raid’, Lynn Shelton’s ‘˜Your Sister’s Sister’, and Canada’s Oscar entry for this year, ‘˜Monsieru Lazhar.’   Toss in ‘˜Tim And Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie,’ and you have something of an eclectic lineup.

Personally, ‘˜Heights’ is the film I’m most eager to check out, particularly due to the film’s cast and obviously Arnold’s involvement, a filmmaker I absolutely love.   ‘˜Raid’ also found a ton of great buzz following its debut, so that will definitely be one to keep an eye on.   For a complete list of announced films, head over to their website.
