Clip Arrives For James Gray’s The Immigrant

The 2013 Cannes Film Festival is nearly wrapped, but one of the biggest debuts is still yet to commence.

Friday brings with it the debut of James Gray’s much anticipated new picture, The Immigrant, and in honor of that debut, Indiewire has release a new clip for the ever-talked about drama which stars the likes of Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Renner and Joaquin Phoenix, following a woman who is thrust into the world of prostitution by an evil man named Bruno.

As a huge fan of Gray’s canon (just about everything in it is good if not absolutely great), this is easily one of my most anticipated films of 2013, and easily one of the Cannes Film Festival’s biggest debuts this year. We also have new films coming from people like Polanski and Jarmusch, so it’s shaping up to be one of the bigger years in quite some time, despite the rather quiet buzz being built so far this festival.
