First Look At Lasse Hallstrom’s ‘The Hypnotist’

While it may not be much to go off of, at least it’s something.

Thanks to Moviezine, we have our first, albeit almost too official, look at the upcoming film from director Lasse Hallstrom (My Life As A Dog).   Entitled ‘˜The Hypnotist,’ the film stars ‘˜Everlasting Moments’ star Mikael Persbrandt, and is based off of a novel from Swedish scribe Lars Kepler.

The film is described by the director as a ‘family drama with thriller elements,’ and while the photos themselves aren’t much to look at (they aren’t anything other than true publicity stills), the film started shooting just a few days ago, so that much should be expected.

I’m not a huge fan of Hallstrom as a filmmaker, but this project does sound interesting.   Persbrandt is one of the more interesting actors around, so with his involvement, I really can’t wait to see what Hallstrom can offer in the realm of thrillers.   Hopes are really high for this project, despite how odd these photos may be.
