Four Clips From Andrea Arnold’s Wuthering Heights

If you haven’t heard by now, I’ll say this once again; Andrea Arnold’s last effort, Fish Tank, is one of the best films that this still very young decade has to offer.   And now, with the film’s debut on the horizon, the director is back with her latest work, an adaptation of the beloved novel, Wuthering Heights.

Thanks to C7nema (via The Playlist), four clips from the film have hit in one long Youtube video, and it’s absolutely stunning.   The film stars James Howson in the role of Heathcliff, the character who appears to be the focus of these four clips, and it looks breathtaking.   As with Fish Tank, Heights has an amazing sense of naturalism in the filmmaking, which makes its period setting really striking.   It looks like an intimate picture, something that makes me think this is going to be one hell of a film.   It debuts at Venice next week, so expect to hear a lot more about this film soon.
