Gorgeous Lengthy Trailer Debuts For Cloud Atlas

Of all the big named projects hitting later this year, very few of them remain as much of a giant question mark as the Wachowski’s and Tom Tykwer’s long awaited sci-fi epic, Cloud Atlas. Featuring a killer cast, and a bit of source material as beloved as they come, this is truly one of the most interesting projects around this year. And now, we know a bit more what we will have to expect from the film.

A massive trailer for the film has hit (via JoBlo), and clocking in at almost six minutes, this is as good a look at the film as we’ll get in a long time. And what a look it is.

The film stars the likes of Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Jim Sturgess, Ben Whishaw, Jim Broadbent, Hugh Grant, Bae Doona, David Gyasi, Susan Sarandon, Keith David, James D’Arcy  and  Hugo Weaving, and finds these actors taking on multiple characters throughout the film’s time spanning narrative that ranges from the 19th Century to the end of the world.

Based on David Mitchell’s novel of the same name, the film teams the Wachowskis and Tykwer for what should be this year’s biggest and most ambitious sci-fi epic. Expect to hear much more about this for the months to come, and especially when a certain awards show starts to roll around.
