James Franco To Lead Wim Wenders’ Next Film

wimwendersframed

While he may be known as a multi-hyphenate A-list actor, James Franco is as fond of his work with auteurs like Harmony Korine as he is his big blockbuster output. And he may have found his most interesting project yet.

THR is reporting that Franco will star in the new film from director Wim Wenders, entitled Everything Will Be Fine. The 3D film will follow Franco’s character, a writer who tries to get his life together after accidentally causing the death of a child. HanWay Films will be handling international sales, the same company behind the upcoming release of The Last Emperor 3D, and while there is no domestic distributor yet, that shouldn’t be the case for much longer.

Coming off of Spring Breakers, Franco appears to be working at the height of his acting ability, and if that performance is any hint, we may be in for one hell of a year for the actor. He’s always been a really interesting thespian, and is certainly making good on that with his recent work. I think this premise sounds really interesting, and with Wenders behind the project, it sounds like this could be something absolutely superb.
