Matthew McConaughey Offered Lead In Chris Nolan’s Interstellar

From romantic lead in mediocre-to-awful comedies to one of the most sought after stars in all of acting, Matthew McConaughey has become one of the most thrilling stories in all of film. And his story just got one hell of a twist.

Deadline is reporting that the actor has been offered the lead role in Chris Nolan’s next film, a top secret sci-fi film entitled Interstellar. All that is known really about the film is that it’s yet another teaming up of he and brother Jonathan Nolan, that will allegedly deal with time travel and different dimensions.

Personally, I love this news. McConaughey has been infatuated with working with pure auteurs ranging from Jeff Nichols to Steven Soderbergh, and this is yet another great notch on his ever growing belt. I haven’t been huge on Nolan over his past few films, but the idea of him taking on a new original story is really thrilling. Toss in McConaughey, and you have a picture that I really can’t wait to check out. November 7, 2014 can’t get here fast enough.
