Mubi Teams With Stockholm Film Festival For Short Film Program

Always one to team up with a film festival, Mubi has once again done just that.

The arthouse social networking site/streaming outlet has teamed up with the Stockholm Film Festival, to bring users six new short films from the festival’s short program.   The festival runs from now until November 28, and these films will be available until then.   The six films are

Sister (Michael Rittmannsberger, Austria)

Vicky and Sam (Nuno Rocha, USA/Portugal)

Twist of Fate (Karen Aqua, USA)

Junko’s Shamishen (Solomon Friedman, Canada)

Bygone Behemoth (Harry Chaskin, USA)

The Man with 150  000 USD Prize on His Head (Una Celma, Latvia)

Personally, while the fact that they are shorts has me interested in all of these films (not to mention the shorter times means that these can be watched pretty much anytime, anywhere), the one I’m massively compelled by is Sister.   Following a family who must deal with the disappearance and subsequent drowning, the film sounds as a miniature take on something like Rabbit Hole, and for that, I’m quite interested.   However, all of these films sound interesting, so therefore, definitely check them out.
