New Clip Gives The First Look At The Cannes Darling All Is Lost

allislostframed

Coming hot on the heels of J.C. Chandor’s debut feature, Margin Call, and even more so on the heels of what has turned out to be a rather big debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year, the first clip has arrived from the director’s much talked about film, All Is Lost.

One of the few films coming out of this year’s festival that has actually garnered more than a small amount of buzz, the film got a standing ovation from its first public screening, and with star Robert Redford apparently giving a top notch performance, this looks to be a real awards contender come its October release date.

The film is ostensibly a one man show, as it follows the story of a sailor lost at sea, and with Redford aboard as its lead, this is one that will have the film world buzzing for quite some time. I think this clip looks fantastic, and with every critic seemingly floored by the film, this is going to be one of the few films to really break out of this year’s rather dull (at least from this vantage point) slate.
