Robert Pattinson Joins Werner Herzog’s Queen Of The Desert

Always at least an intriguing face, if not one found in the greatest of films, Robert Pattinson has suddenly found a ton of arthouse credibility, and director’s who appear to be fans of the much talked about actor.

Variety is reporting that Pattinson has joined the cast of Werner Herzog’s upcoming film, Queen Of The Desert as none other than T.E. Lawrence, a man who has already seen cinematic version of himself hit the big screen thanks to one Lawrence Of Arabia. The film will co-star Naomi Watts, and will follow the story of Brit writer Gertrude Bell, played by Watts. The pair of Lawrence and Bell took to countries like Jordan and Iraq, and truly changed the landscape socially and politically of those countries.

The film will roll later this year, so a fall release is immensely likely, and personally, I can’t wait to check out this film. Herzog is a fantastic director, which goes without saying truly, and with Pattinson aboard the project, this is something to really take note of.   I really think there is a lot of talent behind Pattinson, and with Cosmopolis in the ether now, people appear to be really warming up to the actor. Herzog’s stamp of approval will definitely do a lot to his rep as well. More on this as it comes.
