Steven Spielberg Talks Lincoln In Revealing 60 Minutes Interview

The press wagon for Steven Spielberg’s upcoming film, Lincoln, is in full swing now, as it nears its November 9th release date, and its director is making the rounds in support of the picture. Of all the Google+ Hangounts and other interviews he’s been doing, the most revealing look at the director may very well be the one he gave to CBS and 60 Minutes.

The director sat down for a really insightful interview with the legendary show, and it’s now available to bask in online.

Split into two parts, the first portion primarily involves the auteur looking back at his family and its relation to his films (family has always been one of the biggest themes the director has attempted to tap into throughout his career), with the next half dealing with his upcoming historical drama. Better as a look at the director than as a look at his new film, it’s as revealing an interview as we’ve seen from the filmmaker. Watch below.
