Teaser For Cannes-Bound Jeune And Jolie From Francois Ozon Arrives

jeuneframed

If there was one name this writer was glad to see join this year’s Cannes Film Festival lineup, it was that of director Francois Ozon.

With his latest, In The House, finally arriving in the US on Friday (and, with a review to come, I can say it’s the auteur’s best film) a teaser has hit for his upcoming Cannes picture, Jeune And Jolie, and while it lacks subtitles, it’s a beauty regardless.

The picture tells the story of a teen who is followed for the span of a year, and appears to have something to do with her coming of age, particularly sexually. It appears to be an erotic picture which isn’t too shocking coming from Ozon, who, if his last film is any sign, is only growing more and more as a filmmaker. This trailer is a beautiful, if short, bit of promotional material, and it definitely makes one extremely excited to see what is on its way. Hopefully this one doesn’t take too long hoping across the pond. I can’t wait.
