Three Colors Composer Finds A New Gig

With Terrence Malick aboard the film as a producer, the upcoming film Green Blade Rises was already one of the most interesting sounding films around. However, it just became a must-see, if it weren’t already one.

Film Music Reporter is reporting (via The Playlist) that none other than Zbigniew Preisner, aka the man behind the all-time great score to Kryzstof Kieslowski’s Three Colors films (along with the equally great score to the late auteur’s The Double Life Of Veronique) will be scoring the upcoming film.

Starring Wes Bentley and Jason Clarke, the film will be helmed by Malick’s protégé A.J. Edwards (editor of his new film To The Wonder)   and will follow the youth of Abraham Lincoln, making it easily the most intriguing Lincoln film coming up (sorry Spielberg).   Preisner adds such an interesting flavor to the new film, making this really something to keep the keenest of eyes on.   Production is set to start soon. More on this film as it comes.
