Trailer For Dark Horse Hits

With his first Criterion-approved film, Life During Wartime, squarely behind him, director Todd Solondz is hard at work on a follow-up, and now, we have our first real glimpse at what appears to be his lightest film to date.

Bleeding Cool has the first trailer for the upcoming film, Dark Horse, and I must say, it’s a little bit of an oddity.   Starring a killer cast including Christopher Walken, Mia Farrow, Justin Bartha, Selma Blair, Zachary Booth, Aasif Mandvi and Donna Murphy, the film follows a man who is looking to marry his main squeeze, but must deal with his family beforehand.

Personally, while I definitely like the trailer, I must say, it’s really weird.   It seems like a really light romantic comedy with a touch of darkness to it, but for all intents and purposes, one must really know that that’s not quite the case.   Reviews have revealed the film to be far darker than this trailer will imply, so it really stands to be seen as to what to really expect from the film.
