See Chaplin Films in 35mm at BAM in August

Chaplin_poster_final800framed

This August, the Brooklyn Academy of Music is honoring the Little Tramp himself, Charlie Chaplin, by screening four of his films that run the gamut from early favorites to controversial later features. The 35 mm prints are from the recent Janus Films restorations for these Chaplin classics.

From August 9th to the 12th, the BAMcinématek will screen City Lights, Modern Times, The Great Dictator, and A King in New York – all of which are available in the Criterion Collection or on the Criterion Hulu Plus Page.
